Process description
Create a monomer by reacting ethylene glycol with dimethyl terephthalate at high heat. This monomer is reacted with dimethyl terephthalate again which creates a polymer. This polymer is then extruded into long strips, cooled and then broken into small pieces. These pieces are melted into a substance similar to honey and extruded through a spinneret to form fibers.
